Cardea (Legacy Partner)
In 2014, Cardea (which has been a part of the WISE Initiative since its inception) set out to increase the quality, effectiveness and sustainability of sex education programs in a cohort of Texas school districts. It first convened representatives from interested school districts to share the WISE approach and begin to assess readiness and capacity. Continued technical assistance has focused on aligning curriculum content to the state standards and providing professional development.
